Because I am right and everyone else is wrong.
More seriously, not completely, I want to be part of sensible political discourse. I want to learn from others as well as help others think clearly about issues.
I am confident that by frequently changing my mind, having unpopular opinions, and being wrong I can ensure there is no chance I get elected.
